I’ve created an Aromatherapy Oil Library - a living, growing reference space designed to bring clarity, safety, and confidence to the world of essential oils.
This library isn’t about trends, hype, or “magic fix” promises. It’s about understanding oils properly, how they work, when to use them, and when not to.
Each oil in the library is explored through:
Its therapeutic properties
Emotional and nervous system support
Safety guidance (including dilution, contraindications, and special considerations)
Traditional and modern holistic uses
Practical, real-world applications, not theory for theory’s sake
✨ Why I Created It
Over the years, I’ve seen aromatherapy either:
Over-simplified into pretty captions, or
Over-complicated into inaccessible clinical language
Neither truly serves people.
I built this library because I believe knowledge is empowerment. When you understand an oil,its strengths, limits, and personality, you can work with it respectfully, safely, and intuitively.
This space bridges:🌿 evidence-informed aromatherapy🌿 emotional wellbeing🌿 nervous system awareness🌿 lived human experience
Not “one oil fits all.”Not “this will heal everything.”But informed choice, grounded practice, and personal resonance.
🤍 What This Library Is For
This library is for:
Clients who want to understand what they’re receiving
Practitioners who value clarity and responsibility
Curious minds who want depth without overwhelm
Sensitive nervous systems that need gentleness, not pressure
It’s also a reflection of how I work:slow, intentional, ethical, and human-first.
🌱 A Living Resource
This is not a finished product, it’s a living library. It will continue to grow, evolve, and deepen as knowledge, research, and experience expand.
If one oil speaks to you deeply and another doesn’t that matters.Your body, your history, and your nervous system all play a role.
There is no “right” oil.Only the right oil for you, in that moment.
🌿 Safety & Responsibility Disclaimer
The Aromatherapy Oil Library is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
While essential oils can be powerful tools for emotional and physical wellbeing, they are also concentrated plant substances and must be used with knowledge, care, and respect.
The information shared in this library:
Is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition
Does not replace advice from a qualified medical professional
Should always be adapted to the individual, their health history, and their nervous system
Special care should be taken when using essential oils if you are:
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Managing a medical condition
Taking prescription medication
Working with children, babies, or vulnerable adults
Always follow appropriate dilution guidelines, patch test where relevant, and discontinue use if irritation or discomfort occurs.
🌱 Evidence-Informed Guidance
All safety information within this library is guided by established professional aromatherapy standards, including:
Tisserand Institute safety guidelines
Essential Oil Safety (2nd Edition) by Robert Tisserand & Rodney Young
Peer-reviewed research from recognised integrative and complementary medicine journals
Traditional aromatherapy practice combined with modern clinical understanding
Where applicable, guidance reflects age-appropriate dilution ranges, contraindications, and known interactions not social media trends or blanket claims.
🤍 A Human-First Approach
This library also recognises something science alone cannot fully quantify:
The way a person responds to an oil is shaped by experience, memory, emotion, and nervous system state.
One oil may feel grounding to one person and activating or uncomfortable to another. That does not make either response wrong.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach in aromatherapy and this library honours that truth.
🌿 Final Note
Aromatherapy is both an art and a responsibility.
My intention with this library is to support safe, informed, and respectful use — empowering you to make choices that feel aligned, ethical, and supportive of your wellbeing.
When in doubt, less is more, and professional guidance is always encouraged.
